Summary: The Do’s & Don’ts of Being an Effective Mentor animation is designed to train new mentors on their responsibilities in their new capacity. The visual elements provide learners an example what to do (and what not to do) when interacting with their new mentee.

Challenge: As corporations implement mentoring programs in their institutions, new mentors may not have access to or time devoted to adequate trainings, such ILT, VILT, or eLearning courses.

Solution: This animation fulfills the need for learners to understand their new positions as mentors, perspectives of mentees, and the benefit of mentoring programs in a professional community.

Results: Mentors will implement the six tips of mentoring, which will result in mentee retainment, motivation, and achievement of performance goals.
